The first of its kind, the Hovenring is a suspended cycle path roundabout located above a major highway that joins cyclists and pedestrians to the localities of Eindhoven, Veldhoven, and Meerhoven. Its innovative design, as well as its tribute to the Dutch mentality of creatively solving issues concerning space, have transformed it into one of the most talked about cycle bridges in the world. At night, the bridge’s lighting brings it to life and fits Eindhoven’s “City of Light” identity.
